Types of Hair Loss

Constituent hair loss (androgenetic alopecia)

• Genetically inherited and the most common type.
• Hair loss is seen as a receding hairline or bald spots at the back of the head.
• In women, it often manifests as thinning at the top.

Circular hair loss (alopecia areata)

• Locally limited, round spots.
